Fraxel Laser Treatments for Acne Scarring

Fraxel Laser Treatments for Acne Scarring There's a new kid in town in the
world of laser skin therapy, and it's quite effective at eliminating acne
scarring and seriously diminishing very deep acne scarring.

It's called the Fraxel Laser, and it's FDA approved and has been put to
practice in some of the more advanced dermatologist and aesthetician offices
around the US.

As a matter of fact, there are still not a whole lot of places that offer
this new laser therapy, confirmed by the fact I could only find one
practitioner in my area, which is a fairly large metropolitan area with
plenty of surrounding suburbs.

So, let's talk about what the Fraxel laser is capable of doing, and what
distinguishes the fraxel laser from other traditional lasers used for skin
improvement.

First off, and perhaps most importantly is that, unlike traditional laser
treatments, the Fraxel Laser does not leave the skin red and raw for weeks
and possibly months, as the recovery time is reduced significantly.

The reason for the reduced recovery time is that the Fraxel laser is simply
less invasive, and actually discriminately treats the skin rather than
treating several layers and a wide surface area all at once. It allows the
user to treat the more damaged tissue and leave the healthy tissue alone,
making it easier for the skin to heal.

The way a Fraxel Laser works has been compared to a picture of your face.
If you put that picture under a proverbial "microscope", you would see
thousands, or millions, or tiny pixels that make up the face. The Fraxel
Laser actually treats your skin "pixel by pixel" by targeting and zapping
damaged areas.

Because it is more gentle than a normal laser treatment, Fraxel is also
gentle enough to be used on sensitive areas with thinner skin, such as the
neck, and can improve the tightness of the skin there as well.

The results are a smoother skin surface, which is why it can really help
with severe to moderate acne scarring.
Some of the pictures of before and after patients who were treated for acne
scarring with the Fraxel Laser were pretty impressive.

The skin benefits that this laser can provide for the appearance of your
skin are the following :

1.) Dramatic improvement in smoothness and texture

2.) Reduction in pore size and noticeability

3.) Smoothing of scars and wrinkles, including acne scars and pitting

4.) Reduction in brown spots (age spots) and skin discoloration, resulting
in a more even skin tone and improved clarity
