Acne Prevention Tips

Is having acne getting you down? But if you knew there were ways to prevent
it from appearing, would you take the time and do the steps, instead of
looking for treatment? Personally I would do it.

But don't worry if you do already have acne. Just carry on reading this and
it will help you to keep it from getting worse and making it much hard for
you to get rid of it.

Firstly, I would say to you (ladies) to make sure to remove any stale
make-up as this can cause acne because it blocks up your pores and then acne
will develop. Gently wash your face with a clean cloth before going to bed
to prevent acne from developing.

Secondly, you should improve your health by eating plenty of fresh fruit and
vegetables, which provides you with plenty of vitamins. Also drink plenty of
water because it helps to moisturize your skin (you should be drinking
around 8 glasses a day).

Most of all, no touching or picking your face (I know you will feel like
doing this, because I've been there. but try to resist the urge), you will
only make it worse. Touching or picking your face only irritates acne, which
causes the infection to spread over your face (which isn't something you
want).

Exercise will not only improve your general health, but it will also help
flush out the bad toxins in your body. These toxins can give you acne.

Avoid tanning. (Fake tans as well). Although some sunlight is good for your
skin, if you have acne, it can make it worse (because the sun will be
removing moisture from your skin.

One thing that can lead to acne is when your skin produces too much sebum.
You can reduce sebum production by taking Vitamin A supplements. Another
supplement which works well is Zinc.

The best way to cure acne is to prevent it (or at least stop it from getting
worse).

I hope you found this useful.
